Before HeartShip Tattoos came to life, our studio was known as South of Heaven Tattoos, a name that reflected our deep connection to our roots and our dream of exploring new horizons.
HeartShip Tattoos is more than just a studio; it’s the realization of a long-held dream to take our craft on an adventure—one that began in Johannesburg and has brought us to the vibrant and historic city of Edinburgh. Our founders and resident artists, Cathy and Van, bring over 30 years of combined experience in the tattoo industry. They have poured their hearts and souls into creating a studio that embodies both the warmth and creativity of their South African origins and the rich cultural tapestry of their new home in Scotland.
